WHAT:
Senator Florez (the bill's sponsor) joins two leading raw milk processors, a natural and organic foods retailer and notable long-time raw milk drinkers to make a public plea on why this innovative piece of legislation must safely make it to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's desk.

Once passed, this bill will protect the right for Californians to make a purchasing choice and serve as a model for other states to follow.

WHY:
The Fresh Raw Milk Act of 2008, Senate Bill 201, creates a new system for the regulation of raw milk in California. Pioneers standards and regulatory protections that are the first in the nation and provides greater food safety protections for consumers than what is currently required in the law Promotes consumer choice in California by keeping raw milk available on store shelves
